THE HISTORY OF THE VDJ

Le Vestiaire de Jeanne est une histoire de famille.

The brand was born in February 2007, when I started creating clothes for my little sister Jeanne.

She was then 8 years old and I was 20.

At the time, it was difficult to find sober clothes, in neutral colors, for children.

So I created some simple and timeless models for her that my mother and I couldn't find commercially.

Since then, the Vestiaire de Jeanne has developed

We have created an adult line for men and women, household linen as well as canvas and leather accessories.

In 2021, with the birth of my daughter Gaïa, we also developed a baby line.

The initial idea of the VDJ, which was to dress Jeanne, evolved over the years.

Our wish now is to equip the whole family with a shared locker room, accessories and household linen.

In 2017, we moved to a new location in the heart of Nîmes, a small town in the South of France in which we live.

In this place, we have grouped our offices, our creation and manufacturing workshop & a boutique space in which we present our collections as well as the work of other creators carefully selected according to the seasons and our meetings.

The idea is to promote a SLOW (reasonable and reasoned) lifestyle and consumption by highlighting artisanal know-how, local and/or ethical manufacturing and to present beautiful, useful and well-made items for everyday life. .

Today, you can find our clothes in our store in Nîmes, on our website as well as in a few rare stores around the world that share our philosophy.
